Following its efforts to ensure the highest safety levels at workplaces, Milaha, Qatar’s leading Maritime and Logistics Service Provider has been certified by the British Safety Council for the quality of its COVID-19 corporate policies, procedures and protocols.
As the global economy and all its business sectors continue to face the impacts of the COVID-19 global pandemic and its severe challenges, Milaha has developed and performed a detailed set of working practices and measures to protect its employees, workers, customers, visitors and suppliers, in a bid to effectively reduce COVID-19 transmission.
These practices have been rigorously assessed by the British Safety Council and considered to be in accordance with the current Qatari government and International best practice guidelines.
The review of COVID-19 policies covered Milaha Headquarters and operational sites, upon which the British Safety Council concluded that “Milaha have undertaken a leading best practice for the companywide extensive track, trace and test system in place.
The British Safety Council also found that Milaha have in place several well documented plans including the “COVID-19 Prevention and Precautions Procedure” which sets out the best practice guidelines at any Milaha site.
Equally, the review considered that Milaha’s communication and training procedures are well planned and implemented, including clear, relevant, and legible signage, posters, internal emails, intranet, social distancing and need to wear face masks reminders.
