Halul Offshore Services Company Wins Qatar Petroleum Contract

Qatar Navigation, through its wholly owned subsidiary Halul Offshore Services Company (HOSC), is pleased to announce that it has been awarded a 23 million riyal contract for wireline support services by Qatar Petroleum (QP).

Khalifa Mohamed Al-Hitmi, Chief Executive Officer of Halul Offshore Services Company, announced yesterday the recently awarded contract for providing wireline support administered using vessel Halul 37.

The vessel Halul 37 is fully equipped to meet the specialised tasks of wireline support.

The contract duration is three years, with an optional extension for two additional years. As stipulated in the awarded contract, Halul Offshore Services Company will administer wireline support services in the offshore oil fields of Qatar Petroleum.

Halul Offshore Services Company was established in 2000 with a paid up capital of QR300 million. HOSC was established to provide the most comprehensive offshore support services to the oil and gas industries locally, regionally and even worldwide.

The company currently operates a fleet of some 31 offshore service vessels in addition to five chartered ships. HOSC has expertise in several areas of marine services including safety standby vessels, anchor handling tugs, crew boat, wire line support vessels, construction vessels, wellhead maintenance vessel, diving support vessels and ship transportation of personnel and ships equipped with cranes.

In addition, Halul Offshore Services Company operates the largest diving service and maintenance part in the Middle East. Ends
